Widely considered the birthplace of coffee, Ethiopia is home to various wild arabica plants and contains nearly all the world's genetic diversity in coffee. Almost every arabica plant can trace its genetic roots back to Ethiopia. Its climate and mountainous topography are ideal for producing some of the finest coffees in the world.
We're proud to showcase this Yirgecheffe, grown in the kebele (villages) of Edido, which serves an estimated 1,000 small holder farmers from surrounding communities. The natural coffee is processed by drying the coffee seeds before hulling. This processing method yields superb notes of fruit with medium body and acidity.
